CommercialUK is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We are dedicated to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes CommercialUK's slavery and human trafficking statement for the current financial year.

Our Business

CommercialUK operates as a digital platform connecting investors, businesses, property owners, and agents within the United Kingdom's commercial property market. Our services include property listings, market intelligence, and tools to facilitate commercial property transactions across offices, retail units, industrial spaces, and investment opportunities.

We operate primarily within the UK and work with a range of suppliers and partners including technology providers, data services, marketing agencies, and professional services firms.

Our Policies

We operate a number of internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:

Anti slavery policy, sets out our zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and the steps we take to identify and address potential risks

Recruitment policy, we use only reputable employment agencies and conduct proper checks to ensure all workers have the right to work in the UK

Whistleblowing policy, encourages staff to report any concerns related to our business practices, including suspicions of modern slavery, without fear of reprisal

Code of conduct, sets out the standards of behaviour expected from all our employees and contractors

Due Diligence

As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains, we undertake due diligence when considering new suppliers and regularly review our existing supply chain. Our due diligence process includes:

Evaluating the modern slavery risks of each business relationship

Conducting supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with our standards and applicable law

Including contractual obligations requiring suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to cascade these requirements through their own supply chains

Maintaining a supplier code of conduct to which all suppliers must adhere

Risk Assessment

We regularly assess the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chain. As a UK based digital platform, we consider our direct exposure to be relatively low; however, we recognise that risks can exist within extended supply chains. We focus our risk assessment on:

Technology and software supply chains, including offshore development services

Facilities management and cleaning services

Marketing and agency services

Any outsourced data processing or customer service operations

Training and Awareness

To ensure understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and in our business, we provide training to our staff. Our training covers:
